For many, the moment a Special Immigrant Visa (SIV) is granted or a plane touches down in the U.S. feels like the end of a long journey. But in truth, it’s only the beginning. After months—or even years—of fear, instability, and separation, newly arrived families face the daunting task of starting over in an unfamiliar country with few resources, little guidance, and almost no support.
In the past, newly arrived refugee and SIV families received limited financial assistance and case management through federal resettlement programs. Today, much of that support has been drastically reduced or entirely eliminated. Many families are left to navigate housing, healthcare, employment, and legal systems entirely on their own. This is where The SAFA Network steps in.
We offer virtual case management services nationwide, ensuring families receive culturally competent support no matter where they resettle in the U.S. Whether it's helping locate affordable medical care, connecting with language-specific community resources, or providing guidance on public transportation and school enrollment—we walk alongside families through the critical first 90 days and beyond.
Our team also helps connect families with secondhand household goods, trusted medical providers, and faith-based or cultural networks in their new communities. We assist with understanding how to access local government services, from applying for SNAP or Medicaid to navigating DMV appointments and school registration. No matter where a family lands, SAFA is committed to helping them feel less alone—and more at home.
We provide personalized, culturally aware support—no matter where a family lands in the U.S.—helping navigate essential systems during the critical first 90 days and beyond.

We help families find affordable, language-friendly medical providers and mental health support, ensuring they receive timely and appropriate care.
We assist with locating secondhand furniture, clothing, and household items, often through community donations or partner organizations.
We link families with local mosques, churches, cultural groups, and support networks that make their new city feel more like home.
